Online Learning Platform and Education Website Development
We plan and build an online learning platform or institution website for coaching centres, schools, trainers and edtech teams in Bangladesh. Visitors find your courses, pay by bKash or card, and start learning from a phone, while parents still get notices, admission details and results.
Bangla & English
Course pages, checkout and certificates in either language
Phone number login
Sign-up with a one-time code instead of email
WordPress or Laravel
Build route chosen after we understand your courses
Your domain, your data
Students and sales records stay under your control
A course website that also does the selling
An online learning platform is the website where students discover your courses, enrol, pay and then learn, all under your own name. We build these for coaching centres, schools, skill trainers and edtech startups in Bangladesh, along with the public pages an institution needs for parents and applicants.
Many institutes run their online side through Facebook posts, inbox replies, a payment number and a private group. Each new batch means hundreds of repeated questions and a long night of matching transaction IDs to names.
We replace that chain with one site: clear course pages, a checkout that opens access after payment, and a student area that works on a small phone screen. You pick the features for your first release and add more as your offer grows.
Every sale starts as an inbox conversation
Staff answer the same questions about fees, schedule and syllabus one by one, and many interested students drift away before anyone replies.
Payments checked by transaction ID
A student sends a transaction number, someone checks the merchant app, then adds them to a group by hand. Evenings and holidays mean long waits.
An institution site nobody trusts
Old notices stay on the homepage, admission details sit in a PDF that will not open on a phone, and parents call the office instead.
No student list you own
Courses sit on a marketplace or a social group, so you cannot reach past buyers when a new batch opens.
Missing from Google searches
People search for the exact course you teach, but thin, slow or missing pages mean other sites appear instead of yours.
Features we can build into your education website
- 01
Institution pages
Home, about, teachers, admission, notices, results, gallery and contact pages that your office staff can update without a developer.
- 02
Course catalogue
Courses grouped by class, subject, exam or skill, with search and filters so a visitor reaches the right one in a few taps.
- 03
Course sales pages
Outline, instructor profile, preview lesson, batch dates, fee, common questions and an enrol button on every course page.
- 04
Checkout and enrolment
Coupons, bundles, early-bird fees and instalments, with course access opening as soon as the payment is confirmed.
- 05
Online and office payments
Gateway payments for bKash, Nagad and cards, plus a staff screen to record cash or bank deposits and print a receipt.
- 06
Mobile number sign-up
Students register and log in with a phone number and one-time code, which suits learners who rarely check email.
- 07
Student dashboard
Enrolled courses, the next live class, pending quizzes, payment history and certificates on one short screen.
- 08
Lessons and live class links
Recorded lessons in order, notes for download and live class links shown only to the enrolled batch.
- 09
Quizzes and certificates
Short tests after each chapter and a certificate with a verification code when the course is complete.
- 10
Multi-instructor accounts
Each teacher gets a profile, a course editor and enrolment figures, with revenue share reports if you split income.
- 11
Batch landing pages
Campaign pages for each new batch, with Facebook Pixel and Google Analytics events so you can see which ads bring students.
- 12
Blog and notice board
Articles, exam tips and notices that give Google fresh pages to show and give students a reason to come back.
- 13
SMS and email follow-up
Reminders for unfinished checkouts, class times and fee due dates, sent to students and, where needed, to guardians.
- 14
Admin roles and sales reports
Separate access for owners, teachers and accounts staff, with enrolment and income reports by course and batch.
Who we build education websites for
Coaching and admission centres
Centres that run physical branches and also want to sell recorded or live courses to students in other districts.
Schools, colleges and madrasas
Institutions that need a public site for notices, admission and results, with an optional area for class recordings.
Teachers and skill trainers
Individual teachers in IT, language, design, freelancing or accounts who want to sell courses under their own brand.
Edtech startups
New teams building a course platform with many instructors, subscriptions or a mobile app planned for later.
Training institutes and academies
Vocational and professional institutes that take admission online and issue certificates for each completed course.
Associations and professional bodies
Member organisations that offer paid or free courses to members and need records of who completed them.
What changes when your courses have a proper home
We plan the first release around the courses you sell today and keep a written list of what can be added later.
Book a free call-
Enrolment keeps running after office hours
A student can read the course page, pay and start the first lesson at midnight without anyone on your team awake.
-
The student list belongs to you
Names, numbers and purchase history stay in your own database, ready for the next batch announcement.
-
Fewer repeated inbox questions
Clear course pages answer fee, schedule and syllabus questions before people message you.
-
Students from search, not only ads
Well-structured course and blog pages give Google something to rank, so not every enrolment costs an ad click.
-
One brand for campus and online
Parents, applicants and course buyers all see the same institution, which builds trust in both sides.
-
Room to grow feature by feature
Start with the pages and checkout you need now, then add quizzes, instructors or an app once students are using the site.
What an online learning platform needs beyond the lessons
Most people picture an online learning platform as a video player with a login. In practice the lessons are only the middle of the journey. Before a student watches anything, they have to find your course on Google or Facebook, read a page that answers their questions, trust you enough to pay, and get access without waiting for someone to check a payment by hand. After the course, they want a certificate, a result and a reason to buy the next one. A platform that handles only the middle part leaves your team doing the rest manually.
That is why we treat the public website and the learning area as one project. The course pages, checkout and student dashboard share the same data, so a fee change, a new batch or a seat limit shows up everywhere at once. If you only need the teaching and testing engine, our page on the learning management system covers that part in detail.
Two kinds of education website, and when you need both
An institution website and an e-learning website serve different visitors. A school, college or madrasa site speaks mainly to parents and applicants: admission dates, notices, results, fees, teachers, facilities and contact details. Our guide to educational website design lists the pages these sites usually need.
An online course website speaks to buyers. It has to explain what the course covers, who teaches it, how long it runs, what it costs and what the student gets at the end. It works as a shop as much as a classroom.
Many institutes in Bangladesh now need both. A school may want a public site with notices plus a small area for class recordings. A coaching centre may run physical branches and sell recorded courses to students in other districts. In those cases we plan one site with two clear entry points, so parents and course buyers each reach what they came for quickly.
Features to plan for an online learning platform in Bangladesh
Course catalogue and sales pages
Each course needs its own page with an outline, instructor profile, a free preview lesson, batch dates, the fee and an enrol button. Filters by class, subject, exam or skill help visitors find the right course. Course details marked up as structured data help Google understand what the page offers.
Checkout that fits local payment habits
Students and guardians here pay mostly by bKash, Nagad or card, and some still prefer a bank deposit or cash at the office. The checkout should accept a gateway payment and open access at once, while still letting staff record an offline payment. Coupons, early-bird fees, instalments and bundle offers are common and worth planning early, because they change how orders are stored. Our note on choosing a payment gateway explains the main options.
Student dashboard
After login, the student should see enrolled courses, the next live class, pending quizzes, payment history and certificates. Keep this screen short and readable on a small phone, since that is where most learners will open it.
Instructor accounts
If several teachers sell courses on your platform, each needs a profile, a course editor and a view of their own enrolments. Some owners also want revenue share reports per instructor, which affects how payments are recorded from the first day.
Marketing tools
Landing pages for each new batch, a blog, Facebook Pixel and Google Analytics events, referral codes, and SMS or email follow-up for people who started checkout but did not pay. These small tools decide how many visitors become students.
Choosing the build route
There are two practical routes. A WordPress site with a course plugin suits an institute that sells a modest number of courses and wants staff to edit pages easily; we build these through our WordPress website service. A custom web application on Laravel suits a platform with its own fee rules, multi-instructor payouts, a large question bank or a mobile app planned for later; that work runs through our Laravel website service.
Neither route is right for everyone. A plugin site can grow messy when many add-ons are stacked on top of each other. A custom build takes more work at the start but follows your process instead of forcing you into a plugin's. We look at your course count, teacher count, payment rules and growth plans before we recommend one.
What affects the cost
We do not quote a fixed price on this page, because two education websites can differ many times over in effort. The main factors are:
- the number of page templates, and whether the design is custom or theme-based;
- which learning features you need, such as video, live classes, quizzes, assignments and certificates;
- payment gateway, SMS, email and video hosting integrations;
- multi-instructor accounts and revenue reports;
- Bangla and English content kept in parallel;
- moving existing students, courses and payment records from an old system.
After a requirements call we send a quote that lists each part, so you can decide what goes into the first release and what waits.
Notes for institutes in Bangladesh
- Slow mobile connections. Pages should load quickly on a phone with a weak signal. Images are compressed, and video drops to a lower quality when the connection struggles.
- Bangla text everywhere. Course titles, search and certificates should handle Bangla correctly, including student names printed on certificates.
- Phone number login. Many students rarely use email. Login by mobile number with a one-time code is often easier than an email and password.
- Guardians who pay. For school-age students the payer is usually a parent, so receipts and reminders should reach the guardian's number as well.
- Power cuts during tests. If a timed quiz is interrupted, answers should already be saved, so a dropped connection does not wipe out the attempt.
Mistakes we see often
The first is building the platform before the course offer is clear. If you have not decided how batches, fees and access periods work, the website will need rework later. The second is ignoring search. A course site that nobody finds depends entirely on paid ads; planning page structure, titles and speed from the start, as described in our article on SEO web design, gives you a second source of students. The third is trying to copy a large national platform in the first release. Start with the courses you sell today and add features once real students use the site.
How we set up your online learning platform
We begin with a requirements call about your courses, students, teachers and payment rules. We then agree the page list, features and build route, design the main pages, and build the site in stages so you can review each part. We connect payments, SMS and video hosting, import existing students and courses when needed, and test on real phones before launch. If your school also needs an office system for admission, attendance and fees, it can sit beside our school management software. After handover we support the platform under a maintenance agreement, with access to the server and website.
How we build your learning website
-
Step 1
Requirements call
We ask about your courses, batches, fee rules, teachers and who visits the site, from parents to adult learners.
-
Step 2
Page plan and build route
We agree the page list and features, then choose WordPress or a custom Laravel build based on what you need.
-
Step 3
Design and staged build
We design the main pages first, then build in stages so you can review course pages, checkout and the dashboard as they are ready.
-
Step 4
Connections and data import
We connect the payment gateway, SMS and video hosting, and import existing students and courses when needed.
-
Step 5
Launch and support
We test on real phones, launch, hand over admin access and support the site under a maintenance agreement.
