Transport Management System for Fleets and Couriers in Bangladesh

We build transport management systems for truck and covered van owners, courier companies and distributors in Bangladesh. Trips, vehicles, drivers, fuel, parcels and cash on delivery sit in one place, so you can see what each vehicle earns and costs, and where every consignment is right now.

Know Where Every Vehicle and Parcel Stands

A transport management system records the work your vehicles and staff do every day: trips, loads, fuel, driver payments, parcels and the money collected on delivery. In Bangladesh, many transport and courier businesses still run this on phone calls, a register at the depot and a messaging group, which makes it hard to tell whether a truck made money on a trip or whether a rider handed over all the cash.

We plan and build the system around your operation. A covered van company that carries cartons for garment factories needs trip challans, rent bills and vehicle papers. A courier company needs merchant bookings, hub transfers, rider runs and COD settlement. We start from the work you actually do and build only the parts you need.

01

Trip profit is a guess

Fuel, driver allowance, tolls, ferry charges and loading costs are written on loose slips, so nobody can say what a single trip earned.

02

Vehicle papers expire unnoticed

Fitness certificate, tax token, route permit and insurance dates sit in a file cabinet, and one lapsed paper can mean a fine or a vehicle held on the road.

03

COD cash does not add up

Riders collect cash on delivery all day, and matching their deposits with delivered parcels and merchant payouts takes hours every evening.

04

Clients keep calling for status

Merchants and contract clients phone the office to ask where a parcel or load is, because there is no tracking page they can check.

05

Repairs happen only after breakdowns

Servicing, tyre changes and repairs are not logged, so the same vehicle keeps failing and spare parts spending goes unchecked.

Modules for Fleet, Courier and Delivery Work

Vehicle and Fleet Register

Keep each truck, covered van, pickup, bus or bike with its owner, capacity, papers and current status, including hired vehicles.

Driver and Helper Records

Store licence details and expiry, assigned vehicle, trip allowance and salary or per-trip pay for each driver and helper.

Trip and Challan Management

Create a trip with loading point, destination, client, goods and rent, print the challan and close it once delivery is confirmed.

Trip Expenses and Fuel

Record fuel, tolls, bridge and ferry charges, labour costs and driver advances against each trip to see its real profit.

Paper and Renewal Reminders

Get alerts before fitness, tax token, route permit, insurance or driving licence dates run out.

Maintenance and Spare Parts

Log servicing, tyre changes and repairs per vehicle, track spare parts stock and compare upkeep cost across the fleet.

Courier Booking and Merchant Panel

Let merchants book parcels one by one or in bulk from a sheet, print labels and see their own delivery and payout history.

Hub and Branch Transfers

Move parcels between hubs with manifests and barcode scans, so every bag that leaves one branch is checked in at the next.

Rider Assignment and Delivery

Assign parcels to riders by area, mark them delivered, returned or rescheduled, and record the reason for each failed attempt.

COD Collection and Merchant Payouts

Match rider cash with delivered parcels, deduct delivery charges and prepare merchant payouts by bank, bKash or Nagad.

Tracking for Customers

Give clients and receivers a tracking page and SMS updates, so fewer status calls reach your office.

GPS Tracker Integration

Show vehicle location from your current GPS tracker service on a map inside the system, where the provider offers an API.

Client Billing and Rate Charts

Set rates by route, weight, area or vehicle type, bill contract clients from closed trips and track what they have paid.

Reports and Owner Dashboard

See trips, income, costs, pending COD, late deliveries and vehicle use by day, branch or client.

What You Gain From Proper Transport Records

Every rule, rate chart and report is set up from how your own trips and deliveries run.

  • Profit per trip and per vehicle

Rent, fuel and every expense sit against the trip, so you can see which vehicles and routes pay and which do not.

  • No surprise expired papers

Renewal reminders give you time to sort out fitness, tax token and permits before a vehicle is stopped on the road.

  • Cash on delivery settled daily

Rider deposits, delivered parcels and merchant payouts are matched in the system instead of by hand at night.

  • Fewer status calls

Clients check tracking pages and SMS updates on their own, so your staff spend less time on the phone.

  • Maintenance you can plan

Service history per vehicle shows when the next check is due and which vehicles cost too much to keep running.

  • Head office sees every branch

Each hub and depot works in the same system, so the owner sees the whole operation from one dashboard.

What a Transport Management System Needs to Cover

Transport businesses in Bangladesh vary a lot. One company owns twenty covered vans that carry garment cartons to the port. Another runs a parcel network for online shops with hubs in several districts. A third is a distributor whose own pickups deliver to shops every morning. Each one needs software, but not the same software. That is why we ask which kind of operation you run before we list a single module.

Most operations share a core set of records:

  • Vehicles: own and hired, with capacity, papers and status.
  • People: drivers, helpers, riders and hub staff, with their pay and advances.
  • Jobs: a trip for a fleet company, a parcel for a courier, an order run for a distributor.
  • Money: what the client pays, what the job costs and what cash is still in someone's hands.

For fleet and trucking companies

The trip is the centre of the system. A trip records the client, loading point, destination, goods, rent, vehicle and driver. Fuel, tolls, ferry charges, labour and driver allowance are added as they happen. When the trip closes, you get a profit figure without anyone adding up slips. Bills to contract clients are built from closed trips, so billing always matches the work done.

For courier companies

Courier management software follows the parcel instead. A merchant books a parcel, a pickup rider collects it, the hub sorts it into a bag for another branch, a delivery rider takes it out and the cash on delivery comes back to the office. Each step is a scan or a status change. By closing time, the system shows which parcels were delivered, which came back and how much COD each rider still owes. If you also sell online, our e-commerce website development work can feed store orders into the same booking flow.

How to Choose a Transport Management System in Bangladesh

Many transportation management software products are made for large freight markets abroad, with load boards, electronic logbooks and fuel cards that are not part of daily work here. Local businesses need different things. Before you choose, check these points:

  1. Does it record trips the way your challans are written, including hired vehicles and partial loads?
  2. Can it remind you about fitness, tax token, route permit and insurance dates?
  3. Can it handle cash on delivery and merchant payouts through bank, bKash or Nagad?
  4. Will it read location from the GPS tracker you already pay for, rather than forcing new devices on you?
  5. Can drivers and riders use it from a basic Android phone on slow mobile data?
  6. Does it support several branches with separate cash, and one combined report for head office?

Ready-made logistics software can answer some of these. A system built for your company answers them with your own rates, routes and approval steps. Our checklist for hiring a web app company lists what to ask any developer, including us.

Bangladesh-Specific Points to Plan For

Vehicle papers. A lapsed fitness certificate or tax token can stop a vehicle at a checkpoint and delay a client's shipment. Reminders by SMS and on the dashboard are among the simplest and most useful features you can add.

Cash-heavy operations. Drivers carry cash advances and riders carry COD. Every advance should be logged and settled against the trip or the delivery run, so balances do not build up quietly over weeks.

Payment options. Clients may pay by bank transfer, cheque, bKash or Nagad. Online payment through SSLCommerz can be added for merchants or one-off customers. Our payment gateway guide explains how each option works in Bangladesh.

Connectivity. Highways, rural roads and hub warehouses often have weak signal. Rider and driver screens should be light, with large buttons and few fields, so a status update takes seconds.

Language. Office staff may prefer English reports while drivers, riders and receivers read Bangla SMS more easily. The system can send and show both.

What Affects the Cost

We quote each project after a requirements call, because a small fleet and a multi-hub courier network are very different builds. The main cost factors are:

  • Which parts you need: fleet, courier, distribution or a mix of them.
  • The number of branches, hubs and users.
  • Integrations such as SMS, GPS tracker services, payment gateways and courier partner APIs.
  • Whether riders or drivers need a separate Android app, or a phone browser is enough.
  • How much old data needs to be cleaned and imported.
  • Hosting and the maintenance agreement after launch.

Mistakes to Avoid

  • Buying tracking hardware first. GPS shows where a truck is, not whether the trip made money. Get trip and expense records right, then add location.
  • Leaving advances off the system. If driver advances stay in a notebook, trip profit figures will always be wrong.
  • Too many fields for riders. A rider carrying forty parcels will skip a slow screen. Keep their part short.
  • No link to stock. Distributors should connect delivery with the warehouse, so loaded and returned goods update stock automatically. Our inventory management software page shows how that side is planned.

How We Build Your Transport Management System

We build on Laravel, which suits business systems with many user roles, rules and reports. You can read more about our Laravel web application service, and our guide to web application development explains how such projects are put together. A typical project runs in five steps:

  1. Walk-through: we map how a job moves from booking to payment in your company.
  2. Scope: we agree on modules, roles, reports and integrations in writing, along with a quote.
  3. Build and test: your dispatch, hub and accounts staff try each part on a test server.
  4. Import and launch: we bring in vehicles, drivers, clients and open balances, then go live on an agreed date.
  5. Support: after handover we fix issues and add features under a maintenance agreement.

If you later want one system that joins transport with accounts, HR and purchasing, see our ERP software page.

Transport & Courier Management System FAQ

Still have a question?

Our team answers within a few hours on working days.

Ask our team
01 How much does a transport management system cost?
The cost depends on whether you need fleet, courier or distribution features, how many branches and users you have, and which integrations such as SMS, GPS or payment gateways are included. We send a quote after a requirements call.
02 Can it work with the GPS trackers we already use?
Often yes. Many tracker providers offer an API or data export, and we can show vehicle location inside the system from it. We check what your provider supports during the requirements call.
03 Do drivers and riders need a separate app?
Not always. The system works in a phone browser, which is enough for many teams. If riders need barcode scanning from the phone camera or offline use, we can plan an Android app as part of the project.
04 Can merchants book parcels and see their COD payouts?
Yes. A merchant panel can let shops create parcels one by one or by uploading a sheet, print labels, track deliveries and see payout statements. Payouts can be sent by bank, bKash or Nagad.
05 Can you import our vehicles, drivers and client balances?
Yes, when needed. We take your existing sheets, clean them with your team and import vehicles, drivers, clients and opening balances before go-live.
06 Will the system send SMS in Bangla?
Yes. Delivery updates, payment confirmations and renewal reminders can go out in Bangla, English or both through a local SMS gateway you choose.
07 How long does it take to build?
It depends on scope. A fleet system with trips, expenses and reminders is smaller than a multi-hub courier network with a merchant panel. We agree on stages and dates after scoping, and you review each stage.
08 Where is the data hosted?
On a cloud server or your own server, as you prefer, with scheduled backups. Your company owns the data, and code ownership is written into the agreement.
