A Place Where Sellers Post and Buyers Find
A classified website lets people post ads for things they want to sell or rent, and lets buyers search those ads by category, location and price. It sounds simple, but the sites people keep using are the ones that make posting quick, keep scams out and show the right ads first.
Many buy and sell groups start on Facebook. Posts get buried within hours, there is no way to filter by area or price, fake sellers come back under new names, and the group owner earns nothing from the traffic. A site of your own fixes those problems and gives you a business you control.
Nexteio plans and builds the site around your categories, your rules for approving ads and the way you want to earn. We set it up, import existing listings when needed and support it under an agreement.
Posts vanish in Facebook groups
A good ad drops out of sight within hours, and buyers cannot filter by price, area or condition.
Fake sellers and advance-payment scams
Without phone verification or reporting, the same scammer posts again under a new name and buyers lose trust in the whole site.
Moderation eats the whole day
Checking every ad by hand, with no rules or queue, means approvals pile up and honest sellers give up waiting.
Ready scripts that are slow and hard to change
Bought classifieds scripts often load slowly on mobile data, break after updates and cannot hold the fields your categories need.
Traffic but no income
Free listings bring visitors, but without promotions, memberships or banner space the site cannot pay for hosting and staff.
Modules We Can Build Into Your Classified Website
Phone-friendly ad posting
Sellers add photos, price and details from a phone, with images compressed before upload and drafts saved if the connection drops.
Categories with their own fields
Cars ask for brand, model and year, flats ask for size and floor, and you add new categories from the admin panel.
Search and filters
Buyers filter by category, price, condition and the fields of each category, with results sorted by date or price.
Location by division, district and area
Ads are tagged to a place the way people describe it, so buyers see listings near them first.
Phone OTP sign-up
Sellers verify their mobile number by SMS before posting, which cuts down fake accounts and repeat offenders.
Seller dashboard
Sellers edit, renew, mark as sold or delete their ads and see how many people viewed each one.
Buyer and seller contact
Buyers can reveal the phone number, open WhatsApp or send a message inside the site, depending on what you choose.
Moderation queue and reports
New ads wait for approval under your rules, suspicious words hold an ad, and buyers can report a listing with one tap.
Paid promotions
Sellers pay to pin an ad at the top, mark it featured or bump it back to the first page for a set number of days.
Business memberships and shop pages
Dealers and shops buy packages with more ad slots, a shop page with logo and address, and a verified badge.
bKash, Nagad and card payments
Promotions and memberships switch on when the payment is confirmed, with no one checking screenshots by hand.
Ad expiry and renewal
Ads expire after the period you set, sellers get an SMS reminder, and sold items leave the search results.
Banner slots
Sell banner space on category and search pages to local advertisers, with start and end dates managed in the admin panel.
Admin panel and reports
See new ads, approvals, income from promotions, top categories and active sellers, with roles for each moderator.

What a Well-Built Classifieds Site Gives You
When sellers can post in minutes and buyers trust what they see, listings and visitors grow together.
Book a free call-
Ads that stay findable
Every listing has its own page, category and location, so buyers find it by filter or from Google instead of scrolling a feed.
-
Fewer scams and fake accounts
Verified phone numbers, approval rules and buyer reports make it harder for bad sellers to come back.
-
Income from your traffic
Promotions, memberships and banners turn visitors into revenue that pays for hosting and moderation.
-
Moderators who keep up
A queue with clear rules lets a small team approve ads quickly and spend time only on the doubtful ones.
-
A site that grows with new categories
You add categories and fields from the admin panel when you expand, without paying for a rebuild.
-
Code and data you own
The source code, the database and the domain stay with you, so you are never tied to a script vendor.
What a Classified Website Has to Do Well
A classified website has two kinds of users with different jobs. Sellers want to post an ad in a couple of minutes from a phone, with photos, a price and a contact number. Buyers want to find the right item near them without scrolling through hundreds of unrelated posts. Every page, from the posting form to the search filters, should serve one of these two jobs. If either side finds the site hard to use, the other side leaves too, because buyers follow listings and sellers follow buyers.
Posting that works on a phone
Most sellers in Bangladesh post from a mid-range Android phone on mobile data. The posting form should load fast, compress photos before upload, keep a draft if the connection drops and ask only for the fields that matter in that category. A motorbike ad needs brand, model, year and kilometers run. A flat for rent needs area, size, floor and monthly rent. One long form for every category produces poor listings and poor search results.
Search and filters buyers trust
Buyers usually start with a category and a place, then narrow by price and condition. Location should follow how people here describe places: division, district and then area or upazila. Filters should come from the category fields, so a buyer can ask for automatic cars below a set price in one district and see only those. Saved searches and favorites bring buyers back without paid ads.
Moderation and safety
An online classifieds site depends on trust. Phone verification by OTP, a review queue for new sellers, word rules that hold suspicious ads, a report button on each listing and a block list for repeat offenders keep scams down. A short safety note on every ad page, such as meeting in a public place and never paying a stranger in advance, protects buyers and your name.
How a Classified Ads Website Earns Money
Free posting brings listings, but the site needs income to pay for hosting, moderation and promotion. The common models are:
- Paid promotions. Sellers pay to pin an ad at the top of a category, mark it featured or bump it back to the first page.
- Business memberships. Shops and dealers pay for a package with more ad slots, a shop page with logo and address, and a verified badge.
- Posting fees in chosen categories. Many sites keep most categories free and charge only for vehicles, property or jobs, where sellers expect to pay.
- Banner space. Category and search pages can carry banner slots sold directly to local advertisers.
Payments should go through bKash, Nagad or a gateway such as SSLCommerz, and a promotion should switch on as soon as the payment is confirmed. Our guide to accepting online payments in Bangladesh explains the merchant account each option needs.
Choosing How to Build Your Classified Website
There are three usual routes: a ready-made classifieds script, a WordPress theme with a classifieds plugin, or a site built for your own categories and rules. Ready scripts look complete in a sales video, but they are often slow, hard to change and shared by thousands of other sites, which makes them an easy target for attackers. A plugin can work for a small community board. When you expect thousands of ads, custom category fields and paid promotions, a build on a framework such as Laravel gives you control of the code, the database and the speed. Our Laravel website development page describes how we handle that kind of project, and the article on how web application development works explains the process in plain terms.
Before you decide, ask any developer these questions:
- Can we add a new category and its fields from the admin panel without code changes?
- Who owns the source code, the domain and the server?
- How fast does a category page full of photos load on mobile data?
- How are images stored and resized as the number of ads grows?
- Can the same system later feed a mobile app through an API?
What Affects the Cost
We do not list a price, because the cost follows the scope. The main factors are:
- The number of categories and how many custom fields and filters each one needs.
- Sign-up and verification options, such as phone OTP, email and social login.
- Paid features, including promotions, memberships and posting fees, and the payment gateways behind them.
- Messaging inside the site, or contact by phone and WhatsApp only.
- Moderation tools, report handling and the admin roles your team needs.
- Bangla and English content, and whether a mobile app follows later.
Hosting and SMS are separate running costs. Image storage grows with every ad, so the hosting plan must leave room to grow. We send a written quote after a requirements call.
Notes for a Buy and Sell Website in Bangladesh
Start with a niche. Large general marketplaces already exist. A new buy and sell website often grows faster by owning one category, such as used motorbikes, rental flats, farm machinery or second-hand phones, before adding others. If property is your focus, our real estate website page and the guide to property listing websites cover the extra details buyers expect.
Phone first, not email. Many users rarely check email. Use phone OTP for sign-up and SMS for approval notices and expiry reminders.
Search that understands spellings. People type in Bangla, in English and in Banglish. Search should match the common spellings of brand and place names.
Traffic from Google. Each ad and each category and location page can appear in search results if it has a clean address, a clear title and fast loading. Expired ads should show similar listings instead of an error page.
Mistakes to Avoid
- Launching with empty categories. A visitor who sees three ads does not come back. Collect listings from your own network before you promote the site.
- No moderation plan. Decide who checks ads, how quickly and what gets rejected before the first scam appears.
- Too many fields on the posting form. Ask only for what buyers filter by. Extra details can stay optional.
- Full-size photos. Uncompressed phone photos make category pages slow and storage costly.
- Building every feature before launch. Start with posting, search, moderation and one paid promotion, then add chat, memberships and an app as traffic grows.
How We Build Your Online Classifieds Site
We start with a requirements call about your niche, categories, income model and team. Then we map each category's fields, write down the moderation rules and agree on the admin roles. Our custom website design work shapes the ad cards, posting form and search pages so they read well on small screens. We build and test with sample ads, connect the payment gateway and SMS when needed, import existing listings if you have them, and hand over the admin panel. After launch we maintain and extend the site under a support agreement, which needs server access and a signed contract.
How Your Classifieds Site Takes Shape

Step 1
Talk through your niche and model
We discuss your categories, target buyers, moderation rules and how the site will earn money.
-
Step 2
Map fields, roles and scope
We list each category's fields and filters, the admin roles and the paid features, then send a quote for approval.
-
Step 3
Design and build in stages
Posting, search and moderation come first, tested with sample ads on real phones, then payments and memberships.
-
Step 4
Import, connect and launch
When needed, we import existing listings, connect the payment gateway and SMS, and hand over the admin panel.
-
Step 5
Support under agreement
We maintain and extend the site under a maintenance contract with server access.
