Ujjal

The brief

Ujjal is an appliance store in Bangladesh focused on efficient models. Buyers know an inverter AC costs more up front, but they are not sure it saves enough to be worth it. The site needed to show that saving in real taka, help people choose the right size and keep the buying steps simple on a phone.

What we built

• Running cost calculator: pick an AC, fridge, TV, washer or fan, set the hours a day and the tariff, and see the monthly bill and what an inverter model saves per month and per year.
• Hero stories for inverter ACs, family fridges and washers, and kitchen gear like air fryers and microwaves.
• Buying help in the top bar: 0% EMI up to 24 months, old appliance exchange and free installation.
• Shop by room: living room, kitchen, bedroom and laundry, plus four budget bands.
• Size advice: shoppers share room or family size and get the right model suggested.
• Checkout with cash on delivery, bKash, Nagad and cards, plus sign-in by SMS code and order tracking.

How it was built

Ujjal runs on WordPress with a custom theme and a light store plugin in place of WooCommerce. The design is clean and fresh: deep green with an amber highlight on light sage panels, set in Outfit and Inter. The calculator works in the browser, so results change at once without a page reload, and pages stay light on mobile data.

The result
