The brief

Mudi shops, mini marts and fresh produce sellers in Bangladesh still take many orders by phone and Messenger. Buyers come back many times a month and want to finish an order in two minutes. The shop needed search first, weights and pack sizes, and delivery at a time the buyer picks.

What we built

• A search-first home page with category tiles and item counts, Top Savers Today, Best Offers, Popular Products and a Deal of the Day.
• Product cards that sell, with a discount badge, stock state, pack size and add to cart, so the basket fills from the home page.
• Weight and pack variants such as 500 g, 1 kg and 2 kg, each with its own price and stock.
• Delivery zones and time slots by district and thana, with a limit of orders per slot.
• Payments by COD with an optional advance, bKash, Nagad, Rocket or SSLCommerz, with a minimum order amount.
• Courier booking with Pathao, REDX and Steadfast when an order is marked Packed.

How it was built

Tatka is built with Laravel and has its own admin panel, with a drag and drop homepage builder, stock updates by CSV and reports. The design is fresh and busy in the way grocery buyers like: a teal-to-green header, a big search bar and an orange search button. On a phone it has its own header, a bottom menu and two products per row, and pages stay light, so they open quickly on mobile data and low-cost handsets.
