The brief
Tanti is a handloom brand in Bangladesh that sells sarees, kurtis and three-piece sets made on family looms. Handwoven cloth is hard to judge on a small screen, so the site had to explain each weave, share the story behind the craft and still keep buying quick for phone shoppers.
What we built
- Hero stories for new tant and khadi sarees, hand block print kurtis and festive three-piece sets with a matching orna.
- Shop by weave: tant, jamdani-style, khadi, block print, muslin-soft and kantha, each with a one-line note on how it feels.
- Wear it to: office, Eid and Puja, a wedding or every day.
- Handloom note that explains small slubs and color changes are signs of the hand, not faults.
- Buyer comfort: a blouse piece with every saree and an easy 7-day exchange, shown in the top bar.
- Chat prompt to ask about weaves, colors or blouse pieces, with cash on delivery, bKash and Nagad at checkout.
How it was built
Tanti runs on WordPress with a custom theme and a light store plugin in place of WooCommerce. The palette borrows from the loom: warm terracotta, deep indigo and gold on soft ivory, with Gloock serif headings and Work Sans text that suit a craft label. Pages are light and load fast on mobile data.
The result
A saree store that teaches as it sells, so buyers order with confidence and the weaver's work is shown with care. Selling handloom or ethnic wear? See our e-commerce website service or start a project.
