Somoy

The brief

Somoy is a small watch boutique in Bangladesh that sells automatic, quartz and smart watches. A watch is often a gift and always a careful buy, so visitors need proof that each piece is genuine before they pay. The site had to feel calm and classic, and still be quick to shop on a phone.

What we built

• Three hero stories: the new season collection, an everyday steel watch for him, and small dials with rose gold and mesh straps for her.
• Gift guide that sorts watches for him, for her, for couples and for graduates.
• The Somoy promise: every watch comes in its original box with the brand warranty card, and the strap is sized to the buyer's wrist for free.
• Gift box with every watch, shown in the top bar and again in the trust strip.
• Personal advice: buyers share wrist size and budget and get three suggestions back.
• Simple checkout with cash on delivery, bKash, Nagad, Visa and Mastercard, plus sign-in by SMS code and order tracking.

How it was built

Somoy runs on WordPress with a custom theme and a light store plugin in place of WooCommerce. The style is quiet and classic: deep bottle green with a gold accent on warm off-white, Marcellus serif headings and Manrope body text. Pages stay light, so they open quickly on mobile data.
