The brief
Neighborhood grocery shops and supermarkets in Bangladesh take most orders from phones, often late in the evening for the next morning. Families order the same items every week. This store needed fast ordering, many pack sizes and cash on delivery that is protected against fake orders.
What we built
- Twelve categories, from fruits and vegetables and meat and fish to rice, dal and flour, oil and spices, and household care.
- Simple product cards with pack size, price, old price, rating and a quick add button.
- Quick and bulk order, wishlist and compare for weekly shoppers.
- Tier prices, so 10 kg of rice costs less per kilo than 1 kg.
- Offers that bring families back: coupons, combo deals, flash sales with a countdown and loyalty points.
- Checkout for Bangladesh: COD with an optional advance, bKash, Nagad and Rocket Send Money, SSLCommerz, and Steadfast, Pathao and REDX booking.
How it was built
Sodai is built with Laravel and has its own admin panel for products, orders, shipments, offers and homepage blocks. The design is fresh green with a warm yellow accent, rounded Quicksand headings and clean product cards. The phone layout was designed on its own, with a full-width hero, two products per row, large add buttons and a bottom tab bar, and nothing scrolls sideways on mobile data.
The result
A grocery store built around the weekly shopping habit, run by one owner from one panel. Opening a grocery shop online? See our Laravel website service or start a project.
