Sobuj

The brief

Sobuj is built for a fresh vegetable business in Bangladesh that buys from farmer families and delivers the same day. Shoppers want to know two things before they order: is it fresh, and is the price fair. The site had to show both on the home page and make it easy to pick a delivery time.

What we built

• Next delivery time in the header, with morning, noon and evening slots listed in the footer.
• Today's mandi rate: a daily table of per-kg prices with the change from yesterday, so buyers see how prices move.
• Seasonal guide with tabs for winter, summer and monsoon, listing what is good to buy right now.
• Cut and ready packs: curry cut, shukto packs and salad trays for quick weeknight cooking.
• Cook tonight ideas such as shukto, labra and winter khichuri to help fill the bag.
• Freshness promise: anything not fresh is replaced at the door, with cash on delivery, bKash, Nagad and cards at checkout.

How it was built

Sobuj runs on WordPress with a custom theme and a light store plugin instead of WooCommerce. The look is earthy and warm: olive green, orange buttons and a soft cream background, with Bricolage Grotesque headings and DM Sans text. Pages are kept light so they load fast on mobile data for shoppers on phones.

The result
