The brief
Patrika71 is a Bangla online newspaper. The newsroom needed a site that loads fast on mobile data, makes breaking news easy to spot, and lets editors publish many stories a day without help from a developer.
What we built
- News home page with a lead story, top stories and a "Latest / Popular" sidebar.
- Section pages for national, economy, international, sports, entertainment, politics, religion, education and more.
- Local news finder: pick division, district and upazila to read news from your own area.
- E-paper for readers who like the printed layout.
- Search, mobile menu and share-friendly article pages with clean Bangla typography.
How it was built
The portal runs on WordPress with a custom news theme, so reporters post from the dashboard they already know. Images are compressed and pages are kept light, which matters when most readers open a story from Facebook on their phone.
The result
Editors publish and update stories in minutes, readers find local and national news quickly, and the site is ready for Google News and ad income. Running a news site or blog? Talk to us.
