Laboni

The brief

Laboni makes easy everyday clothes for women in Bangladesh: printed cotton co-ord sets, kurtis, lounge sets, dresses and handloom sarees, cut in small batches. Most prints sell out and do not come back, so shoppers need to spot new pieces quickly and order before they are gone, mostly from a phone. The site had to feel warm and personal, like a small studio.

What we built

• New prints every Thursday, with a new this week row fresh off the cutting table.
• Six categories: co-ord sets, kurti and tunics, lounge sets, sarees, dresses and festive.
• Shop the look: a red bloom set styled for a dawat, with the dupatta and matching pieces next to it.
• Dress for the day: office, dawat, weekend and at home, plus shop by price.
• End-of-batch sale with a timer, sizes S to XXL and a free size exchange in 7 days.
• Checkout with cash on delivery after checking with the rider, bKash, Nagad and cards.

How it was built

Laboni runs on WordPress with our own theme and our own store plugin instead of WooCommerce. The look is soft and homely: terracotta and deep green on warm cream, with Gilda Display headings and Figtree body text. Pages are light, so they load fast on mobile data.

The result
