The brief
Khasta Bakery is a bakery website for a neighborhood bakery in Bangladesh that bakes bread, cakes, pastries and singara every day. Customers want to know what is fresh right now and how to order a cake for a birthday or Eid. The site had to feel warm, show the menu clearly and take orders on a phone.
What we built
- Fresh out of the oven ticker that scrolls today's items across the top of the page.
- Today's Oven Schedule: breads at 6 AM, pastries at 9 AM, snacks at noon and cakes and donuts at 4 PM.
- Six counter categories: Breads, Cakes, Pastries, Cookies and Brownies, Savory Snacks, and Donuts and Cupcakes.
- Bakery Bestsellers with tabs by category, and Regular or Large size options on each item.
- Custom cake section with simple steps to choose a flavor, size and message, ordered 24 hours ahead.
- Call to order number and opening hours in the header for buyers who prefer to phone.
How it was built
Khasta runs on WordPress and WooCommerce with our own khasta theme. The look is cozy and simple: baked terracotta on cream with DM Serif Display headings. Product names show in Bangla and English, checkout takes cash on delivery, bKash, Nagad and Rocket, and pages load fast on mobile data.
The result
