The brief

Courier companies in Bangladesh carry a lot of e-commerce parcels and collect cash for online shops. Customers want a price before they book and want to track a parcel without calling. The office needs to plan pickups, follow drivers and pay out collected cash on time.

What we built

• Instant price calculator: mode, route, weight and size give a full price breakdown and an estimated delivery date.
• Online booking in five steps with a pickup date and time slot, an invoice and a barcode label.
• Public tracking of up to ten parcels at once, with a four-step progress bar and full history, no sign-in needed.
• Dispatch board and driver panel: drivers see their jobs on a phone and record the receiver name, a delivery photo and cash collected.
• COD payouts and quotes: cash collected for shops is listed until paid out, and large jobs start with a quote request.

How it was built

Cargolia is built with Laravel and has its own admin panel with rate cards, zones, branches, shipments, reports and roles for Admin, Manager, Operations and Driver. The design is navy and orange, clear and businesslike. On phones a bottom bar gives Home, Track, Ship, Quote and Account, and visitors can switch between English and Bangla. Payments run through bKash, Nagad and SSLCommerz, each status can send its own SMS, and pages stay light on mobile data.
