The brief
Abhijat is a tailoring house in Bangladesh that makes suits, dinner suits, evening gowns, coats and leather goods by hand. These are high-value pieces, often bought for weddings and black-tie nights, so buyers want to know the fit will be right before they pay. The site had to feel calm and upscale, explain the craft, and still let a shopper book a fitting or order from a phone.
What we built
- Collections up front: tailoring, evening and outerwear, each with a short line and its own product row.
- Quick add with a size picker, so a suit or gown goes into the bag in the right size without leaving the page.
- Book an appointment in the top bar and in the services block: free alterations within 30 days, private fittings and made to measure in three weeks.
- Atelier story about hand cutting and half-canvas jackets, plus a leather goods shelf and a journal with care guides.
- Easy checkout with cash on delivery, bKash, Nagad, Visa and Mastercard, and sign-in with a one-time SMS code.
How it was built
Abhijat runs on WordPress with our own theme and our own store plugin instead of WooCommerce. The look is quiet and formal: near-black and soft bronze on warm off-white, with Cormorant Garamond headings and Karla body text. Pages stay light, so they open quickly on mobile data.
The result
A store that sells fit and service as much as the clothes, with a clear path from browsing to a booked fitting. Running a tailoring business? See our e-commerce website service or start a project.
